As the 2024-25 cross country season approaches, the MAC Cardinals are gearing up for a year for another NJCAA National Tournament run. .
Early Season Action
The season kicks off on August 30 with the Principia College Season Opener in Elsah, IL. This initial race will be a crucial opportunity for the Cardinals to set the tone for the season and gauge their early form.
In September, the Cardinals will head to Batesville, AR, for the Lyon College Invitational on September 6. Just a week later, they will compete in the Harding University Invitational in Searcy, AR, on September 13. Both September events will be great tests for the Cardinals.
A third September meet, scheduled for the 27th, will be announced soon.
Mid-Season Competitions
October brings a pivotal point in the season with the North Farm Twilight in Elsah, IL, on October 9. This twilight race is renowned for its competitive field and will be a great challenge.
The highlight of October is the Region 16 Meet, set for October 25 in Neosho, MO. This championship will be critical for the Cardinals as they aim to secure a strong finish prior the national competition.
National Championship Pursuit
The season culminates in the NJCAA D3 National Championship in Richmond, VA, on November 9. The national championship represents the pinnacle of the season, and the Cardinals will be focused on making a strong showing.
The MAC men's cross country team finished the 2023 campaign as Region 16 Champions and finished in 3rd place at the NJCAA D3 National Championship while the women's team finished 2023 as runner-up in Region 16 before also finishing in 3rd place at the national tournament.
