MAC Takes Down Wabash, Improves To 6-3

The Mineral Area College men's basketball team came away with a 74-62 win over visiting Wabash Valley College on Saturday, November 23 at the Bob Sechrest Field House.

Leading the charge for the Cardinals was Preston Turner, who had an impressive all-around performance, finishing with 24 points and shooting 9-of-20 from the field.  He also grabbed four rebounds and recorded two steals. Turner's ability to score from both inside and beyond the arc (2-of-6 from three-point range) was crucial in keeping the Warriors on their toes.

Another significant contributor was Edwon Duling Jr., who scored 16 points, including a stellar 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range. Duling also added 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal, showcasing his well-rounded game and versatility on both ends of the floor.

Jordyn Richard also had an important role, putting up 8 points while connecting on 6-of-7 free throws. Richard's performance at the charity stripe helped the Cardinals maintain control throughout the game, especially in crucial moments.

DiAri Duncan contributed 8 points and played a key role on the glass grabbing four rebounds.

With the win over Wabash Valley, MAC improved to 6-3 overall.  The Cardinals will now prepare for the Olney Central Classic in Olney, IL.  On Saturday, November 30 MAC will take on host Olney.  The Cardinals will wrap up the classic with a matchup against Vincennes University on Sunday, December 1.
