Cardinals Defeat Wolves, Remain Unbeaten in Region Play

The MAC men's soccer team came away with a big 2-1 win over Metropolitan CC on Thursdasy, September 29.  In Thursday's match, MCC took an early 1-0 lead, but MAC bounced back to tie the match at one with a goal from Thomas Walton (assisted by Jonah Hellmers) at 31:00.  The match remained tied until Cedric Mielsch set up Joe Maunsell at 85:00 to give MAC a 2-1 lead.  The Cardinals were able to hold on for a 2-1 win.  Ryan Garner and Josh Wilson combined for six saves in net for MAC.

With the win over MCC, MAC improved to 5-2-1 overall, 4-0 in Region 16 and 4-1 in MCCAC play.  The Cardinals will return to action on Saturday, October 8 at St. Charles CC to wrap up Region 16 and MCCAC play.
