Men's XC Places 3rd In Prairie Star Meet

The Mineral Area Cardinals Cross Country teams competed in Springfield, Illinois on Friday, September 9th in the 6 team UIS Prairie Star Invitational. Both MAC teams finished 3rd, trailing only NCAA Division 2 schools Purdue Northwest and the host school Illinois-Springfield. Freshman Brad Ahrens who placed 8^th overall, continues to make a case for being in the hunt come November for the individual National title, posting an excellent time of 22:31 for the 7-kilometer race.
