Men's Cross Country Excels At Lyon College Invitational
On September 6, 2024, the Mineral Area College men's cross country team delivered an impressive performance at the Lyon College Meet.
Anthony Tragesser Leads the Way
Freshman Anthony Tragesser made a spectacular debut for Mineral Area College, clinching the top spot with a remarkable time of 17:30.0, averaging 5:37.9 per mile.
Blake Dorris and Garrett Shortt Shine
In addition to Tragesser, fellow freshman Blake Dorris also made a significant impact, finishing in second place with a time of 18:08.0 (5:50.2 per mile). His strong run contributed to the team's impressive showing and highlighted the depth of talent among the new recruits.
Garrett Shortt, another freshman, finished fifth with a time of 19:01.0 (6:07.2 per mile). Shortt's performance was instrumental in reinforcing the team's overall standings and adding to their competitive edge.
Dalton Brady and Jeb Huff Complete the Lineup
Rounding out the top performers for MAC were Dalton Brady and Jeb Huff, who finished seventh and eighth respectively. Brady crossed the finish line at 19:28.0 (6:15.9 per mile), while Huff followed closely at 20:00.0 (6:26.2 per mile). Their consistent performances added valuable points to the team score, contributing to a strong collective effort.
