MAC Finishes 2nd at Heartland Invite, Campbell Named Runner of the Week
The Mineral Area College men's cross country team continued to show their strength this season with a solid second-place team finish at the Heartland Invitational on September 25.
The Cardinals totaled 73 points to secure runner-up honors, finishing behind Heartland Community College.
Lucas Campbell led the way for Mineral Area, finishing 7th overall and earning 5 team points with a personal record time of 27:46.3. Campbell cracked the top 10 and was named NJCAA Runner of the Week, the 2nd time this season for the 5th ranked Cardinals .

Sophomore Blake Dorris rounded out the scoring five with a 20th-place team finish (29:53.9), while Garrett Shortt (30:12.2) and Daniel Laughlin (30:55.5, PR) also contributed to the team's depth.
