Lady Cardinals Open 2022-2023 Season With Win Over John A. Logan

The MAC women's basketball team opened the 2022-2023 season with a thrilling 69-66 win over John A. Logan College on Tuesday, November 1.  In Tuesday's win, the Lady Cardinals got out to 53-44 lead after three quarters but the Volunteers raced back to tie the game at 66 win under a minute to play.  Lexi McCully hit a runner and made the subsequent free throw to seal the 69-66 win.  

MAC was led offensively by McCully, who scored 28 points and fell just short of a double-double with 9 rebounds.  Also scoring in double figures was Katelyn Chomko (15 points).  The Lady Cardinals defense was able to force 14 turnovers in the game.

MAC will return to action on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 in Hutchinson, KS for the Blue Dragon Invitational.
