MAC Goes 2-0 At R16 Classic In Neosho, McCully Named Player Of The Week
The MAC women's basketball team recently went 2-0 at the Region 16 Classic at Crowder College in Neosho, MO.
On Friday, November 18, the Lady Cardinals outscored Jefferson College in three of the four quarters, cruising to a 53-42 win. In the win, MAC was led by Lexi McCully, who finished with 15 points. Katelyn Chomko also collected 10 points in the win and Kyndal Dodd pulled down 11 rebounds.
MAC faced a stiff test on Saturday, November 19 when they took on #24 Three Rivers College. The Lady Cardinals proved to be up to the challenge, pulling away in the second half for a 75-63 win. Lexi McCully again led all scoreres, this time with 29 points. Also scoring in double figures for MAC were Katelyn Chomko (17 points) and Audra Pasakarnis (11 points).
For her outstanding efforts in three wins during the week of November 14-20, Lexi McCully earned Region 16 Player of the Week honors. Lexi collected 70 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 8 steals, and 3 blocks.
With the wins over Jefferson College and Three Rivers College, MAC improved to 6-3 overall and 2-0 in Region 16 play. The Lady Cardinals return to action on Tuesday, November 22 at home against St. Louis CC at 7pm.
