Lady Cardinals Begin 2nd Semester With Win Over John A Logan

The MAC women's basketball team opened the second semester of action by traveling to John A Logan College on Saturday, January 7.  In Saturday's game, MAC got off to a fast start and took a 37-30 lead into the half.  In the second half, the Lady Cardinals played tremendous defense, leading to an 83-64 win.

Scoring in double figures for MAC in the win were Michell Butler (16 points), Destiny Williams (14 points), Katelyn Chomko (14 points), Lexi McCully (13 points) and Gabby Moore (12 points).  Michell Butler also pulled down 15 rebounds for a double-double.

With the win, the Lady Cardinals improved to 13-6 on the season.  MAC will return to action on Wednesday, January 11 at Williams Baptist University for a 2:00pm tip.
