Cardinals Ends Regular Season With Two Big Wins, Prepare For Postseason

The MAC women's basketball team finished the regular season with a bang, defeating #15 Moberly Area CC 82-70 on Wednesday, February 22 and State Fair CC 70-66 on Saturday, February 25.  In the win over Moberly, MAC was led by Katelyn Chomko (21 points, 5 three pointers), Lexi McCully (17 points), Michell Butler (11 points) and Gabby Moore (10 points).  In the win over State Fair, the Lady Cardinals were paced by McCully (26 points).  Chomko netted 10 points and Butler added 11 rebounds.

MAC finished the regular season 20-10 overall and will be the #3 seed for the upcoming Region 16 Tournament.  On Thursday, March 2, MAC will host #6 State Fair CC at 7pm in the quarterfinal round.  The winner of Thursday's game will face #2 Three Rivers College on Tuesday, March 7 in Poplar Bluff.  The championship game will be played at the highest remaining seed on Friday, March 10.
