Women's Track & Field start spring season
13 MINERAL AREA TRACK & FIELD ATHLETES QUALIFIED FOR NATIONAL MEET
AT MINER INVITATIONAL
The Mineral Area College Track & Field teams got their Outdoor Season off to a
great start this past Saturday, March 26 th , at the Miner Invitational in Rolla,
Missouri. 13 athletes posted performances to earn qualifying marks for the
NJCAA Division III National Track & Field Championships in Troy, New York in May.
Leading the way for the Cards were: freshman Cory Stoll who qualified in 3
events-100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and the Long Jump; freshman Laine
Cottrell who qualified in the 400 meter dash and 400 meter relay; and Jacob
Arnold in the 10,000 meter run in which he posted a new personal best in winning
the event in 33:11.95. Other Cardinals who qualified for the National meet were:
Brianna Sansoucie, Stephany Latham, and Reilly Baughman who joined Cottrell on
the 400 meter relay; Haley Hernandez and Laura Maddox in the 5,000 meter run;
Sansoucie in the 100 meter hurdles; Molly Gearhart in the Discus; Liberty
Coleman in the High Jump; Kyle Vinyard and Devin St. Clair in the 5,000 meter
run; and Hunter Cary in the Javelin. Complete Results for the MAC teams can be

The Cardinals will compete again this Friday and Saturday, with the Distance
runners at Washington University on Friday, April 1 st , and the Sprinters, Jumpers,
and Throwers at Central Methodist University on both April 1 st and 2 nd .
