Mckensie Collins named USTFCCCA National Female Field Athlete of the Year

MAC freshman Mckensie Collins has added another prestigious accolade to an already remarkable season, earning National Women's Field Athlete of the Year honors from the USTFCCCA for the 2026 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season.

The Willow Springs native capped off an extraordinary performance at the 2026 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships by scoring points in every field event she entered.

Collins' championship meet was highlighted by a national title in the heptathlon, where she recorded a personal-best 3,437 points. She also earned All-American points in three additional field events, placing fourth in the javelin, seventh in the shot put and tying for seventh in the high jump.

Collins' efforts helped propel Mineral Area College to a runner-up finish in the team standings at the national championships, capping one of the most successful seasons in program history. Her ability to compete at a high level in jumps, throws, hurdles and combined events made her one of the most valuable athletes in the entire NJCAA Division III ranks.
