MAC Goes 3-0 In Cardinal Classic, Enters Rankings at #17

The MAC volleyball team recently went 3-0 as the host of the 2024 Cardinal Calssic on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12.  On Friday, the Cardinals knocked off Vincennes University 3-0 in their only match.  In MAC's match against Hutchinson CC on Saturday, the Cardinals again dominated by a score of 3-0 setting the stage for a key matchup against 15th ranked Indian Hills CC on Saturday night.  In Saturday's finale against Indian Hills, MAC quickly got out to a 2-0 lead after taking set one 25-10 and set two 25-18 but the Warriors would not go quietly, taking set three from the Cardinals 25-18 and set four 25-15.  In the fifth and deciding set, MAC trimphed 15-10 for a five set win.

With the 3-0 weekend, MAC improved to 16-6 overall, with the Cardinals having now won five straight matches.  The 3-0 weekend also propelled the Cardinals into the NJCAA D1 Volleyball Rankings at #17.  MAC returns to action on Wednesday, October 16 for a key Region 16/MCCAC matchup at West Plains.
