MAC Goes 2-0 At Chris Morrison State Farm Classic
The Mineral Area College men's basketball team went 2-0 in the 8th Annual Chris Morrison State Farm Classic on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25. On Friday, the Cardinals defeated Wabash Valley CC by a score of 61-52. Leading the way offensively for MAC were Amarion Dickerson (15 points), Marcus Watson Jr. (13 points) and Josh Meo (10 points). The Cardinals took on the Southwestern Illinois College Blue Storm on Saturday. In Saturday's game, MAC used a big first half to take down the Blue Storm by a final score of 81-64. Preston Turner led the way for the Cardinals, tallying 20 points off the bench. Also scoring in double figures were Josh Meo (16 points) and Tyler Smith (10 points).
With the two wins in the State Farm Classic, the Cardinals improved to 11-0 on the season and are now ranked 13th in the nation. MAC will return to action on Sunday, December 3 against Lewis and Clark CC in the St. Louis CC Shootout at 7:00pm.
